I've got this book from Stephanie. She lend me and I've read it. It inspire me.. and I wanted to share with u....

the title is called "Rules of the Red Rubber Ball".

There's this kid, who was borned in Pennsylvania, and the parents who eventually abandoned their three children. (I sum up abit) He and his brothers moved together with their grandparents on a modest street in a wealthy suburb of Philadelphia. There, amid the conflicting worlds of influence, working class families, and down and out drug dealers. He was a quiet, scrawny kid, and for a while, he felt lost....

Then he discovered..... PLAYGROUND.
It was where he discovered sports- and the red rubber ball that fueled his dreams. Apparently, this playground becames his sanctuary, a magical environment where his worries, shame and low self-esteem disappeared.. Then he discovered his gift of speed. Despite of his size, he could outrun most of other kids, and speed became his ticket onto the field.

And the red rubber ball was always there-A powerful symbol of sport.

For years, he ran, chase, kick, caught after that ball.
He felt alive and powerful.
He felt {loved} and wanted.
He grew physically stronger and more confident.

{At night he snuck into a local private school to play on the indoor basketball court}.

His grandmother had given him the permission to play sports.

He was free to play, ws free to pursue his joy.

SO HE DID.

(In the middle part was saying that joined the Air Force so he could play soccer in Germany. But he hurt his knee so could no longer play, so he studied sports medicine and became an athelic trainer for high school and collage team. And how he had achieved his goals) (Too long for me to sum up)

Now I ask you... What's your red rubber ball?!?

I believe people discover their red rubber ball in a moment of innocence-like ona playground.

After all, where do dreams start?

They start when we're playing, when we're free to run and romp around. That's when we imagine we're something bigger than we are.

Your Red Rubber ball is what grabs u by the soul. It's what captures your imagination. It's what u do when no one tells u what to do, when u're alone in ur room, on the playground or in ur head. It's what u daydream, and that dream can become ur life's work... if u let it.

Find ur red rubber ball is only half of the battle.

Once u find it, u must follow it, and that takes Courage, Strength and Imagination.

These are the guidelines or rules, that will help ensure u never lose sight of ur red rubber ball.

1) Commit to ur red rubber ball and it will fuel decisions about what u study, where u work, how u live, whom u befriend and how u act.

2) Build and nurture relationships, and others will help u pursue ur red rubber ball.

3) Be creative, and u'll discover new opportunities.

4) Do the lonely work-those unglamorous tasks tat no one asks u to do and that others may never notice-and u will surpass expectations.

5) Speak up and challenge boundaries, and u'll overcome them.

6) Expect and respect the unexpected, and u'll achieve ur goals sooner.

7) If u maximise each moment and focus on the present, u'll create the future u desire.

Run after ur red rubber ball today, and every day it will become ur future.

That's it. simple enough. Seven rules and a red rubber ball.

Maybe u still don't understand.. but. can go to the library and borrow it. It's a very small book.. can finish it within half an hour..
